Since the publication of the "International Artists Residency Programme " by the Institute, it has received positive responses and applications from domestic and foreign artists. After evaluation, we are honored to announce that two artists, Alain Jullien (France) and Jianfeng Pan (China), have been shortlisted for the first "International Artist resident Programme " of the School of Art of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics.

Introduction to Alain Jullien

Photographer, international famous photography art curator. Born in Lyon, France, in October 1952. Graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1975, bachelor of Arts in Photography and Film Production. Received master's degree in Photography from Parsons School of Design, New York City in 1979. Deputy Director of Art Planning Committee of China Pingyao International Photography Exhibition Committee and Chief Representative of European Liaison Office during 2001-2003. Overseas curator of the First Lianzhou International Photography Annual, curator of "International Photography Biennial" of Guangdong Art Museum in 2005. Chief curator of photography of the third Dali International Photography Exhibition in 2011. Dean of the École Supérieure Libre d’art de Paris in 2012. Curator of Tianshui Photography Biennale in 2016. His photographs have been collected by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C and the National Library of Paris and held solo show "Countermeasures" in Shanghai OFOTO Gallery in 2010.

Introduction to Jianfeng Pan

Famous intercultural communication artist. Creative director of SHTYPE (Shanghai – Helsinki). Visual design consultant of Sino -Finnish 100 Challenge event. Convener of Euro-Asia Roundtable Sessions in China. Graduated from the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design and the China Academy of Art, master degree of Visual Communication Design. Participated in the planning and creation of "TypoCraft Helsinki 2017", winning the gold award of "grafia" design held by Finland Visual Communication Design Association and Finland Cultural Foundation and Art Promotion Center. Participated in the art residence and creation of Finland pavilion, which was Gold Prize winner of the 2017 World Expo. Writing at Helsinki Airport won the Finland "kulyaiyva" 17 Best Printing and Poster Award. In addition, he created the "Norway in China" national logo, Chinese logo of Finland pavilion of Shanghai World Expo, Radical Design Week, overall visual image of the Nordic Design and Innovation Week. Author of “What Can We Do – Cross Cultural Visual Communication & Chinese Typography”.
